Cert IV Training and Assessment Adelaide

Cert IV Training and Assessment is an essential qualification if you are considering a career in VET sector, Cert 4 in Training and Assessment might be for you. ASQA released new Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 in October 2014. According to the new standards, trainers who wish to train and assess within VET sector must have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (e.g., TAE40110 or TAE40116), a diploma or higher level qualification in adult education.

In 2016, the TAE Training Package was updated, and two (2) core units were added to the TAE40116 Cert IV Training and Assessment - TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools and TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills.

To ensure the VET workforce has appropriate skills in designing and developing assessment tools and identifying and evaluating LLN requirements, the Standards were updated in July 2017 with requirements for trainers and assessors to update their TAE40110 qualification with TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools and TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills before 1 April 2019 to meet the new credential requirements.

TAE40116 Upgrade Adelaide

At this stage (as of 20 October 2017), trainers and assessors who hold the TAE40110 are not required to upgrade their qualification to TAE40116. However, the TAE40116 upgrade might become a requirement in future. Do not wait until 1 April 2019 to comply with the requirements for VET trainers and assessors.
